Energy and Naked Nourishment.
One of the biggest concerns is “will I have enough fuel to sustain my exercise routine?” Ryan put his body to the test today.
Watch Ryan HERE as he prepares his fuel for a 2 hour game of football and a day at the gym with weights. Admittedly, it wasn’t the same kind of sustenance he was used to, an omelette or a large meat sandwich. With a couple of smoothies, some trail mix, chia drinks and fresh fruit, he found that he was super energized and child like. His body was more flexible and agile. He didn’t think about the fuel or the lack of until the workout was over. And then, he knew it was time to eat.
A bit shaken by the lack of heaviness that his body was used to , it took him up to an hour to recover, refuel and re-nourish. He discovered that he was possibly dehydrated and began to make a batch of green juice to quickly solve the issue. Watch Ryan HERE …1 qt of pure live greens later and he was satisfied. This is not abnormal for someone who is not use to eating a plant based diet, there is an adjustment period of learning what the body needs during it’s exercise output. Ryan is changing his patterns and he will have somewhat of an adjustment period. He is not starving the body by any means, he is simply re-training it.
It will be interesting to see if his muscles are sore tomorrow. An alkaline diet, aids muscle recovery rate much faster as the blood is highly oxygenated, therefore healing faster.
